Save Your iOS 4.0 SHSH Blobs Before It's To Late

This is a reminder to all those hoping to jailbreak and unlock their iPhones to save your SHSH blobs for iOS 4.0. It's very important you do this before Apple releases IOS 4.0 OR 4.0.1.

Dev Team Jailbreaks iPhone OS 4 In Just 19 Hours

That has to be one of the fastest jailbreak ever! Just about 19 hours after Apple gave us a sneak peek at the future of iPhone OS and made the beta available to developers, the Dev Team managed to jailbreak iPhone OS 4.

MuscleNerd just tweeted the following along with a video of a jailbroken iPhone running OS 4 and Veency, a VNC app for jailbroken iPhones.

Something you’ll only find on JB 4.0: VNC http://is.gd/blzeg (BTW don’t bother with betas, they’re *very* buggy!)

There is no realease date and I don’t think this jailbreak will even be made available until the official release of iPhone OS 4. Still, I’m getting all excited just thinking about it.

Warning: Apple Stopped Signing iPhone OS 3.1.2 Today

Apple has stopped signing iPhone OS 3.1.2. This means that those with an iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 3 who did not use Cydia to store their TSS cannot restore to anything but OS 3.1.3.

If you fall into that category, Big Boss warns to please make sure you are very careful with what you do from now until the next jailbroken firmware. Be sure that you don't do anything to your iPhone that may require a restore.

You may want to install OpenSSH and learn how to use it so certain repairs can be performed without a restore.

iPhone 3g and 2g users do not need to worry about this.

Shrink Your Icons

Getting bored of your icon sizes? Thanks to Shrink by phoenix3200 it is possible to easily and quickly re-size all your iPhone's icons at one time. I'm a big fan of this app and was just wondering the other day why someone hadn't done it yet. Using Shrink you can set a specified percentage of how big you want the icons to be from their original sizes. Once you've chosen your size, simply respiring, and voila. Smaller icons! This app is also compatible with WinterBoard, Iconoclasm, and Infinidock. Cost: $0.99 from the Cydia Store
